The Senior Associate, Contract Management will play a key role in delivering high-quality contract management services, supporting client engagements, and improving negotiation processes. This position requires strong legal expertise, commercial awareness, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support end-to-end delivery of contract management services while ensuring compliance with client commitments and quality standards.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including software development contracts, professional services agreements, licensing agreements, IP/IT contracts, staffing agreements, and general business contracts.
- Manage complex negotiations independently while providing oversight, quality control, and guidance to junior team members.
- Assist delivery leadership by identifying risks, resolving contract-related challenges, and ensuring successful client outcomes.
- Coach, mentor, and support junior associates to strengthen negotiation capabilities and contract management skills.
- Identify opportunities to improve client contracting processes, procedures, templates, and operational workflows.
- Maintain accurate contract data within internal and client systems while ensuring information remains current and complete.
- Contribute to the development of contract templates, negotiation playbooks, and other tools to improve team efficiency.
- Stay informed on relevant legal, regulatory, and industry developments affecting client engagements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing service quality and delivering additional value to clients.
- Follow information security policies and procedures when handling company and client data and assets.
The ideal candidate is a legally qualified professional with strong commercial contract experience and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. The role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide strategic guidance on complex contract matters.
- Law degree and/or legally qualified professional background.
- Legally authorized to work in the country where the role is based.
- 4+ years of experience independently drafting and negotiating commercial contracts within a law firm, in-house legal department, or contract management environment.
- Strong understanding of commercial agreements, negotiation strategies, and contract lifecycle management.
- Ability to act as a senior advisor to clients and serve as an escalation point for complex contractual issues.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience working directly with business stakeholders.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage complex work with minimal supervision.
- Strong written, verbal communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience coaching and mentoring junior team members.
- Client relationship management experience and ability to build trusted partnerships.
- Familiarity with matter management systems and contract management tools.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Word.
