ASSOCIATE DEGREE FROM RESPIRATORY THERAPY PROGRAM ACCREDITED BY JRCRTE

Passed registry exam with at least one year experience in Respiratory Care

Occupational exposure of high risk for blood borne pathogens

Hours of duty may be irregular to accommodate department and patient requirements

GOOD COMMUNICATION WITH MEDICAL STAFF, NURSING, AND ANCILLARY DEPARTMENTS TO ASSURE TEAMWORK APPROACH TOWARD PATIENT CARE

Under general supervision of Lead Therapist and upon request of physician, sets up and operates various types of respiratory care equipment to be utilized in routine and complex treatment of respiratory diseases

RRT and licensed by the Texas Department of Health-Respiratory Care

Work is of medium demand, walking and standing a great deal of the time

Frequent bending over a patient in bed for several minutes at a time

Frequent lifting of equipment is required

May occasionally be asked to move objects weighing over fifty pounds

Near visual acuity required

All of these duties must be performed during the course of a normal business day

Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in written form

FINE MOTOR SKILLS ARE ESSENTIAL TO PERFORM PROCEDURES AND MANAGE EQUIPMENT
