POSITION PURPOSE
The position of Mobility Manager improves mobility, access and user experience through travel training, coordination and communication with external partners, and customer-focused initiatives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide training and information about transit; create opportunities for continued community exposure to utilize public transit or other transportation services.
- Advocate for the delivery of a sponsored rides program, including coordination with external and internal partners. Develop, maintain, and execute standard operating procedures for the program's execution.
- Data rectification for partnership lists, printing media cards, and onsite events.
- Build relationships with Marion County neighborhoods and businesses, with a goal of group IndyGo pass sales.
- Create and lead a cross-functional team for enhanced customer experience discussions.
- Plan and provide leadership in the implementation of integrated customer engagement and communication initiatives to improve and enhance the customer experience
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in public administration, communication, nonprofit management, urban planning, or closely related field;
- 3+ years of experience specifically leading or directly working on community outreach or community relations that includes supporting outreach or public relations projects within a diverse urban community
- Experience preferred in utilizing mass transit OR the ability to use IndyGo on a semi-regular (3-5 days a week) basis
- Preferred experience in the operations, services, and activities of a community outreach program; or experience in sales or other positions that require the development and maintenance of relationships
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

- Ability to effectively communicate with others using written and verbal communication.
- Ability to build and manage relationships.
- Ability to use IndyGo regularly (at least 3-5 trips a week).
- Detail-oriented and organized with excellent time management skills.
- Knowledge of public speaking principles and techniques for effective presentations to various audiences.
- Advanced knowledge in modern office procedures, methods, and equipment, including computers and applications such as the Internet, Microsoft Office, and SharePoint. Ability to operate office equipment, including copiers, fax machines, and phones.
- Ability to work within a complex software environment or demonstrated ability to learn complex software.
- General mathematical competencies (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage tasks and time effectively.
- Willingness to learn or improve skills, including meeting facilitation, appreciative inquiry, asset-based community development, etc.
- Spanish/English bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Proficiency in American Sign Language is a plus
