We are seeking an attorney with 5–7 years of experience who has a strong desire to focus on environmental regulatory matters. This role provides the opportunity to work on high-impact matters in a collaborative and growing practice group.

Job Description: Environmental & Land Use Associate
Talantage, LLC is assisting our client with an immediate opening for an Environmental & Land Use Associate. We are seeking an attorney with 5–7 years of experience who has a strong desire to focus on environmental regulatory matters. This role provides the opportunity to work on high-impact matters in a collaborative and growing practice group.
Responsibilities
- Advise clients on compliance and enforcement under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) and the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA).
- Provide counsel on hazardous, solid, medical, pharmaceutical, and/or controlled substance waste matters.
- Draft legal memoranda, regulatory analyses, and compliance strategies.
- Represent clients in interactions with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies.
- Support litigation teams in environmental enforcement and regulatory disputes.
- Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on sophisticated environmental and land use matters.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
- Active license to practice law in DC (required).
- 5–7 years of environmental law experience, with a focus on regulatory compliance and enforcement.
- Demonstrated knowledge of CERCLA and RCRA.
- Experience with hazardous, solid, medical, pharmaceutical, and/or controlled substance waste issues (preferred).
- Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver excellent client service.
