Staff Accountant at Fraley & Schilling – Rushville, Indiana
About This Position
Position Summary
The Staff Accountant is responsible for daily cash reconciliation across multiple bank accounts, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately. This role manages weekly cash reporting, ACH/wire payments, positive pay, and oversees employee reimbursements and credit card programs. Additional duties include preparing sales and use tax filings, compiling property tax documents, and supporting monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of accounting practices are essential.
Roles & Responsibilities
● Daily reconciliation and posting of bank activity across multiple entities to the financial system.
● Initiate ACH and wire payments and positive pay processing across multiple entities.
● Weekly cash reporting for all bank accounts and tracking LOC balances.
● Oversee company credit cards and employee reimbursement programs ensuring payments and monthly
activity provided to GL team for posting.
● Prepare and process sales and use tax monthly / quarterly filings by state.
● Prepare and process property tax filings
● Support the monthly balance sheet reconciliations by completing bank reconciliations and others as assigned.
● Support Ad hoc projects, analyses, reports and external audits.
● Other Duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Education Requirements
● Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
● Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of accounting principles and software.
● Treasury experience preferred.
