Our headquarters is located in Washington, D.C. near Capitol Hill, which keeps us closely engaged with Congress, the FCC, the courts, and the Executive Branch on issues affecting Christian media. We have a secondary office in Nashville, TN.
Position Summary:
Support the strategic planning and execution of NRB’s convention programming by providing high-level administrative coordination, speaker management, and content development assistance. This role serves as a key liaison between speakers, internal departments, and in coordination with the CEO and the Vice President of Events, ensuring excellence and accuracy in all aspects of program delivery. Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of customer service or event coordination experience, with preference given to candidates with event planning or association experience.
Requirements:
- Familiarity with Christian broadcasting and ministry preferred.
- Self-directed, highly organized, and detail oriented.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, platforms related to convention data, and database systems.
- Strong data entry and content editing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize effectively.
- Willingness to learn new event technologies and platforms.
- Ability to support occasional evenings/weekends during peak seasons and major events (Convention, CHMS, etc.).
- Willingness to travel for NRB events as needed.
- Applicant should be a committed, mature Christian professional, committed to faith and full alignment with NRB’s, Mission, Statement of Faith, and Code of Ethics.
- You must agree to and sign our Statement of Faith.
- Must reside in the Nashville, TN area
Responsibilities:
Program and Speaker Management
- Generate and manage speaker-related communications, including invitations, confirmations, thank-you letters, and follow-ups.
- Coordinate and track all speaker logistics: bio and headshot collection, hotel reservations, travel stipends, consent forms, security, special requests, etc.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date speaker and session data across platforms (website, app, internal systems).
Content Development & Documentation
- Assist with compiling and editing the convention program book, session descriptions, and speaker bios.
- Contribute to the post-convention report by summarizing program and speaker data.
- Coordinate with the communications team to ensure session and speaker details are reflected accurately in convention marketing.
Technology & Database Support
- Support key event technology platforms (registration, exhibitor portal, sponsorship tools, convention app, etc.).
- Assist in database maintenance and cleanup in collaboration with the Membership Department.
Financial and Administrative Support
- Support convention with financial tracking: data entry, hotel/vendor invoice reconciliation, and reporting.
Professionalism and Growth
- Attend planning meetings with the Vice President of Events, document action items, and follow up on deliverables.
- Identify opportunities to improve speaker and program workflows; recommend enhancements as needed.
General Responsibilities
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Events.
