Position Description:

Are you passionate about using data, investigations, and process improvement to reduce risk and strengthen healthcare operations?

We're seeking a Risk Analyst to support the organization's risk management, compliance, and quality improvement initiatives. In this role, you'll analyze operational and clinical risks, conduct audits and investigations, monitor regulatory compliance, and partner with leaders across the organization to develop proactive strategies that enhance patient safety, operational performance, and regulatory readiness.

What You'll Do

  • Analyze incident reports, grievances, executive summary findings, quality indicators, and operational data to identify organizational risks and emerging trends.
  • Conduct audits, investigations, and root cause analyses to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend corrective actions.
  • Monitor compliance with federal, state, client, and accreditation standards, ensuring organizational readiness and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop executive dashboards, scorecards, and analytical reports that provide meaningful insights for organizational decision-making.
  • Track corrective action plans through completion and monitor the effectiveness of implemented improvements.
  • Assist with regulatory surveys, accreditation activities, and external audits by preparing documentation and coordinating organizational responses.
  • Partner with Operations, Clinical Leadership, Legal, Compliance, Quality, and other stakeholders to identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and update policies, standard operating procedures, workflows, and risk management processes.
  • Educate operational leaders on risk management principles, regulatory requirements, and best practices to reduce organizational risk.
  • Support continuous quality improvement initiatives that enhance patient safety, operational efficiency, and organizational performance.

What We're Looking For

Education

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related discipline (required)
  • Master's degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), Public Health (MPH), Nursing, Healthcare Quality, Risk Management, or a related discipline (preferred)

Experience

  • One (1) to three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare, behavioral health, quality improvement, compliance, or risk management (required)
  • Experience conducting audits and investigations (required)
  • Experience analyzing operational and clinical data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement (required)
  • Experience developing policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures (required)
  • Experience presenting findings and recommendations to leadership teams (required)
  • Experience in correctional healthcare or forensic behavioral health (preferred)
  • Experience in behavioral health services (preferred)
  • Experience collaborating with county partners, sheriffs' offices, courts, and multidisciplinary teams (preferred)
  • Experience supporting performance improvement initiatives within complex healthcare organizations (preferred)

Licenses & Certifications

  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) (preferred)
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) (preferred)
  • Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) (preferred)
  • Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) (preferred)
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt (preferred)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) (preferred)
