Senior Workday Change Management Consultant

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Workday Change Management Consultant based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to lead change management initiatives across Workday implementation projects for clients in diverse industries.
You will help organizations navigate business and technology transformation while driving successful adoption of new processes and solutions.
The position combines strategic change planning, stakeholder engagement, communications, training development, and user adoption.
You will work closely with client leaders and functional teams to understand impacts, address challenges, and build practical roadmaps for success.
The role also provides opportunities to mentor junior consultants and contribute to the evolution of change management methodologies.
With a collaborative, consulting-focused environment, you will manage multiple initiatives while delivering high-quality client experiences.
The position is remote or Chicago-based, with approximately 25%–50% travel depending on client needs.

Accountabilities
  • Lead and execute change management activities for Workday implementation clients, including readiness assessments, stakeholder analysis, change impact assessments, champion networks, communication plans, training plans, educational materials, and user adoption measurement.
  • Develop tailored training content such as visual job aids, instructor-led training presentations, and e-learning materials to support effective adoption.
  • Deliver instructor-led training sessions and help clients build the knowledge and confidence required to use new Workday processes and solutions successfully.
  • Lead regular client meetings, provide project updates, monitor progress, address questions and issues, and maintain alignment on change management priorities.
  • Partner with functional Workday teams to identify process and organizational impacts and understand configuration changes so that change deliverables remain relevant and effective.
  • Support clients in achieving user adoption targets and completing required change management deliverables.
  • Independently plan and manage change management programs while balancing multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholder priorities.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, delegate activities appropriately, and contribute to their professional development.
  • Contribute to the ongoing growth of the change management practice by identifying opportunities to improve methodologies, tools, and delivery approaches.
  • Maintain a high standard of customer service and foster collaborative relationships with both internal and client stakeholders.
Requirements
  • 2–3+ years of experience developing and supporting change management deliverables for clients across multiple industries.
  • Workday Pro Certification, or previous experience working directly with Workday or within a Workday ecosystem partner, is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in change management for Workday implementation projects.
  • Experience developing training materials, including visual job aids, instructor-led training content, and e-learning resources.
  • Consulting experience, either as an internal Workday consultant or with a consulting or software organization, is preferred.
  • Prosci Certification is preferred.
  • Experience with e-learning tools such as Captivate, Articulate, or Camtasia is an advantage.
  • Understanding of HCM and/or financial concepts and business processes, along with experience supporting HR or financial system implementations; familiarity with Workday Launch methodology is a plus.
  • Ability to independently lead the planning and execution of change management programs and translate complex client challenges into actionable solutions.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills, with a strong ability to collaborate across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
  • Advanced proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Google Sheets, and Google Slides.
  • Strong customer-service orientation, collaborative mindset, initiative, adaptability, and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Ability to travel approximately 25%–50% as required by client engagements.
  • Ability to work for extended periods at a desk and on a computer.
  • U.S. work authorization that does not require current or future visa sponsorship is required.
