POSITION PROFILE
The Assistant Director of Private Events supports the Director of Private Events in running both the
sales and operational execution of The Battery's private event program. This role bridges the
department's two functions — overseeing the Private Event Managers on the sales and client-
relationship side, and the Private Events Operations Managers on execution and floor operations —
ensuring both arms of the department work in lockstep from a signed contract through a flawlessly
executed event.
In the Director's absence, the Assistant Director assumes full oversight of the department, including all
event managers and staff. This is a highly visible leadership role requiring strong judgment, cross-
functional coordination, and the ability to keep events on track, on budget, and aligned with The
Battery's standards.
This is an on-site position located in San Francisco.
