The Storage Engineer will design, implement, and maintain enterprise-scale storage solutions supporting critical infrastructure across modern technology environments.
This role focuses on building reliable, high-performance storage platforms that enable compute, virtualization, database, and Kubernetes workloads.
The position requires expertise across block, file, and object storage technologies, with a strong focus on scalability, resilience, and automation.
Working within a collaborative technology environment, the engineer will solve complex infrastructure challenges and optimize storage performance across diverse platforms.

The Storage Engineer will be responsible for designing, deploying, operating, and optimizing enterprise storage environments. The role requires strong technical ownership, proactive problem-solving, and collaboration with infrastructure teams to support business-critical workloads.
- Design, implement, and manage enterprise storage solutions across NetApp ONTAP, Pure Storage, and Ceph platforms.
- Support block, file, and object storage environments across data center, edge, and cloud infrastructures.
- Build and maintain storage solutions supporting compute platforms, virtualization environments, databases, and Kubernetes workloads.
- Configure and optimize storage systems for performance, availability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Manage storage integrations with VMware and Kubernetes through technologies such as CSI.
- Monitor storage environments, troubleshoot complex issues, and resolve challenges across storage, network, and host layers.
- Perform capacity planning, performance analysis, and optimization initiatives.
- Develop automation workflows using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and REST APIs.
- Support data protection strategies, replication processes, and hybrid-cloud storage solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to deliver reliable infrastructure services.
- Maintain technical documentation and contribute to storage architecture best practices.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing enterprise storage platforms and a strong understanding of modern infrastructure technologies. They should combine deep technical expertise with automation skills and strong communication abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field preferred.
- 5+ years of enterprise storage engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on expertise with NetApp ONTAP or Pure Storage FlashArray/FlashBlade.
- Production-level experience managing Ceph environments.
- Solid understanding of SAN, NAS, and object storage protocols.
- Experience integrating storage solutions with VMware and Kubernetes environments.
- Strong scripting and automation experience using Ansible, Terraform, REST APIs, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of storage performance optimization, capacity management, and cost control strategies.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure layers.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Experience with vendor certifications such as NCDA, NCIE, or Pure Storage certifications is a plus.
- Familiarity with hybrid-cloud replication, software-defined storage platforms, and large-scale object storage environments preferred.
- Experience supporting AI/ML workloads with demanding I/O requirements is a plus.
- Competitive annual salary range of approximately $88,000–$109,000.
