The Software Engineer I, Data Platform will contribute to the design, development, and operation of core data infrastructure systems. The role will collaborate with engineering teams to build scalable solutions, improve platform reliability, and create tools that enable efficient data usage across the organization.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of core components within a scalable data platform.
- Build software tools and services that simplify the adoption and operation of data infrastructure.
- Help automate infrastructure processes to improve system reliability, performance, and scalability.
- Support the development of solutions using modern data technologies, distributed systems, and AI-powered engineering tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to address scalability, reliability, and operational challenges.

- 1+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably in backend development, distributed systems, or infrastructure.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Go, or a similar programming language through professional, academic, or personal projects.
- Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, clean code practices, testing, and debugging.
- Interest in learning cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, as well as modern data technologies.
- Familiarity or interest in databases, streaming systems, orchestration tools, and data-intensive applications.
- Experience with technologies such as PostgreSQL, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, Redis, or RocksDB is a plus.
- Exposure to large-scale systems, cloud environments, or data platforms is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, curiosity, communication skills, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Competitive base salary range of $122,400 - $176,000 USD, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
