Senior Manager, Marketing Operations

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Manager, Marketing Operations based in United States.

This is a senior operational leadership role responsible for enabling efficient, scalable marketing execution across a complex organization.
You’ll serve as the central operational hub, creating visibility across initiatives, priorities, resources, and delivery timelines.
The role combines strategic marketing operations leadership with hands-on project and portfolio management.
You’ll partner closely with marketing, creative, digital, communications, business, and external teams to drive successful outcomes.
A major focus will be building scalable workflows, improving processes, managing capacity, and strengthening operational governance.
You’ll also lead and develop a Marketing Operations team while fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead the Marketing Operations function, overseeing workflows, governance, prioritization frameworks, intake processes, and operational standards across the Marketing organization.
  • Maintain comprehensive visibility into active and upcoming marketing initiatives, providing leadership with clear insight into priorities, capacity, risks, resources, and delivery status.
  • Establish and manage intake, prioritization, and workload management processes that align marketing activity with strategic business objectives.
  • Lead change management and continuous improvement initiatives designed to increase efficiency, consistency, scalability, and execution quality.
  • Analyze team capacity, resource utilization, workflow performance, and operational metrics to support informed decision-making.
  • Manage a portfolio of complex marketing projects spanning multiple business units, service lines, and strategic priorities.
  • Oversee projects throughout their lifecycle, from intake and planning through execution, launch, and post-project evaluation.
  • Facilitate project planning, timeline development, stakeholder alignment, resource coordination, risk mitigation, and regular portfolio reviews.
  • Coordinate with Creative, Production, and business stakeholders on conferences and events, ensuring required assets are planned, produced, reviewed, and delivered on schedule.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies, risks, issues, and changes, escalating critical concerns and driving appropriate resolutions.
  • Coordinate internal teams and external vendors to ensure projects remain on schedule, within scope, and aligned with business goals.
  • Maintain project dashboards and work management tools that provide accurate visibility into pipeline activity, milestones, and delivery progress.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop direct reports while supporting performance, professional growth, and career development.
  • Foster a collaborative, service-oriented culture focused on accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a trusted operational advisor to Marketing leadership and a strategic partner to cross-functional stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in marketing operations, project management, program management, or related operational leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex marketing workflows within a matrixed or cross-functional organization.
  • Strong knowledge of project and marketing methodologies, workflow management, portfolio governance, and operational best practices.
  • Proven ability to design, implement, and optimize processes that improve organizational effectiveness, scalability, and execution.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and complex projects across diverse cross-functional teams.
  • Hands-on experience with marketing, project management, or work management platforms such as Asana, Workfront, and HubSpot.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to translate operational data into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated experience managing direct reports and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines, dependencies, and business priorities.
  • Comfortable operating in a dynamic environment where priorities and requirements may evolve quickly.
  • A strategic, proactive mindset with a strong focus on accountability, process improvement, and operational excellence.
Benefits:
  • Base salary range: $121,800–$182,600 USD per year, with actual compensation based on factors such as skills, experience, training, and location.
