The Director of Lifecycle Marketing will own how customers and prospects are engaged throughout their journey, from first inquiry through years of ownership.
This senior individual contributor role combines lifecycle strategy with hands-on execution across a high-value, considered purchase journey.
You will shape reactivation, prospect nurture, and owner communications while building programs that turn existing demand into measurable growth.
The role offers significant ownership of segmentation, personalization, experimentation, deliverability, and lifecycle performance.
You will partner closely with marketing, brand, creative, analytics, Sales, and owner experience teams in a lean, AI-native environment.
As the most senior lifecycle practitioner, you will report to the VP of Marketing and help define how lifecycle marketing evolves across the business.
Success will depend on strategic judgment, strong execution, thoughtful brand communication, and the ability to connect lifecycle activity to revenue outcomes.
- Own the lifecycle marketing strategy across the customer journey, partnering with the VP of Marketing to determine how prospects, reactivated leads, and Owners should experience communications over time.
- Build and execute lifecycle programs directly in Iterable, serving as the primary practitioner responsible for turning strategy into campaigns, journeys, and measurable outcomes.
- Lead reactivation initiatives for previous inquiries, determining when and how to re-engage prospects and ensuring qualified reactivated buyers are handed to Sales effectively.
- Design and optimize prospect nurture programs for buyers who may spend months considering a high-value purchase, using segmentation, personalization, and disciplined experimentation to maintain relevance.
- Develop Owner communications in partnership with the owner experience team, covering onboarding, arrival moments, home updates, referral programs, and other key stages of ownership.
- Establish governance for Owner communications and coordinate lifecycle touchpoints across teams so the overall experience remains consistent and cohesive.
- Own the Iterable environment end to end, including data architecture, deliverability, channel configuration across email, SMS, and push, and integrations with CRM and data warehouse systems.
- Define and monitor lifecycle performance metrics, including reactivation rate, consultation conversion, Owner engagement, and revenue influenced.
- Report lifecycle performance and insights to leadership on a monthly basis, using data to identify opportunities and guide strategic decisions.
- Apply AI tools throughout the lifecycle workflow to accelerate campaign development, segment analysis, variant creation, quality checks, and experimentation while maintaining strong human judgment over strategy and brand voice.
- Partner with Sales on lead scoring, lead handoff, pipeline visibility, and lifecycle programs that support measurable business growth.
- 8+ years of experience in lifecycle, CRM, retention, or related marketing disciplines, including significant experience owning lifecycle strategy.
- Demonstrated experience leading lifecycle marketing for a considered, high-value purchase, ideally within real estate, financial services, travel, or a similarly complex customer journey.
- Expert-level proficiency with Iterable, including hands-on experience with journeys, segmentation, catalogs, templates, campaign execution, and deliverability.
- Strong understanding of lifecycle data and measurement, with comfort using SQL and working with funnel metrics, incrementality, experimentation, and holdout design.
- Demonstrated ability to use AI tools as a practical part of marketing workflows, with examples of how AI has improved speed, scale, quality, or campaign results.
- Strong writing and editorial judgment, including the ability to create compelling subject lines and maintain a refined, consistent brand voice.
- Experience partnering with Sales on lead scoring, lead qualification, handoff processes, and pipeline reporting.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking, with the ability to connect customer behavior, lifecycle performance, and business outcomes.
- Comfortable working independently in a lean, fast-paced environment where the role requires both strategic ownership and hands-on execution.
- Excellent cross-functional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across marketing, analytics, creative, Sales, and customer-facing teams.
- Base salary of $160,000–$175,000, depending on experience and location.
