Activity Assistant in Ash Grove, Missouri at Citizens Memorial

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is hiring an Activity Assistant to join our Activities Department in Ash Grove, Missouri — someone who leads with skill, compassion, and a drive to positively impact every patient and family we serve.

Position Details

• Status: Part Time

• Work Shift: Rotating

• Hours: Will Vary

What Your Day Looks Like: Ash Grove Healthcare Facility is an 82-bed long-term care, skilled nursing facility. Services include a 20-bed memory care unit to meet the needs of individuals with dementia, including Alzheimer's disease.

As an Activity Assistant, you will be:

• Documenting daily attendance and participation of each resident

• Facilitating resident activities throughout the day.

• Contacting volunteers and setting up entertainment

• Leading activities assigned by the Director of Activities

• Assisting residents to and from each activity as needed

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience: Education preferred, customer service, long term care preferred

Skills: Communication, outgoing, creative, computer skills

Licensure/Certification: Full CPR within 6 months of employment

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for 60% of the day and sitting with resident for the remaining 40%
