Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Supervising maintenance technicians, mechanics, and other maintenance workers.
Supervise, train, and evaluate maintenance personnel to ensure efficient performance and development..
Developing maintenance procedures and schedules and assigning tasks to technicians.
Developing and implementing a comprehensive preventative maintenance program to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
Overseeing that maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and on time
Ensuring that all Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) and other pertinent agency rules or government regulations are met
Communicating directly with supervisors, managers and line leaders to resolve service requests.
Monitoring and recording equipment status and determining the supplies and appropriate storage locations.
Conducts regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify potential problems and ensure proper functioning
Actively participating in projects such as remodeling or renovation
Providing technical expertise and acting as a bridge between senior management and the workers.
Responds quickly and efficiently to emergency maintenance needs, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Manages and maintains an inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
Manages the procurement of necessary equipment, parts, supplies and PPE, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.
Monitors and tracks maintenance costs and expenses.
Implements and enforces safety protocols and procedures for maintenance activities.
Qualifications & Skills:High school diploma or equivalent; associate or technical degree in a related field preferred.
3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS software.
Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and safety protocols.
Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies as needed.
Work Environment:
Industrial/manufacturing setting with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
Requires standing, walking, lifting, and occasional work in confined spaces or heights.
