Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Rigorous Vetting

Regulatory Compliance & Credentialing

  • Enforce absolute compliance with state and federal private security mandates, local licensing regulations, and standard labor laws.

  • Verify, track, and continuously audit active employee credentials, including state security licenses (such as Florida Class D and G licenses) and contract-specific access badges (such as TWIC or SIDA).

  • Serve as the primary custodian of highly confidential employee personnel and security credentialing files, ensuring constant readiness for state regulatory inspections.

  • Document, investigate, and handle formal disciplinary procedures and terminations objectively, mitigating company liability and upholding a strict corporate Code of Conduct.

  • Provide ongoing advice and coaching to field supervisors regarding active performance management, shift-coverage accountability, and conflict resolution.

Payroll & Benefits Administration Coordination

  • Oversee the secure verification of field timekeeping data and manage end-to-end payroll processing utilizing corporate systems (e.g., ADP), keeping strictly aligned with variable contract pay rates and shifting overtime schedules.

  • Administer leave-of-absence requests (FMLA and coordinate complex workers' compensation claims related to field incidents.

Core Eligibility & Legal Standards

  • U.S. citizenship or status as a U.S. national.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline preferred.

  • Fluency in both English and Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking proficiency is strictly required for both languages).

  • Successful completion of a rigorous background check and pre-employment drug screening. Nation Security Services LLC maintains a strict drug-free workplace policy.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive Human Resources experience, with a heavy preference given to HR leaders directly from the private security, defense contracting, law enforcement logistics, or high-volume shift-work industries.

  • Deep, practical understanding of labor standards, state-specific private investigator/security officer laws, and armed force compliance.

  • Advanced capabilities utilizing mainstream payroll software platforms (such as ADP and Paycor) and HR Information Systems (HRIS).

  • Exceptional conflict-management, communication, and negotiation skills with a proven capacity to maintain absolute discretion.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active professional HR credentials, such as a SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR designation.

  • Familiarity with managing decentralized, 24/7 guard rosters, multi-site patrol logistics, or aviation/maritime port deployment standards.
