Yard Manager in Gunter, Texas at AMERITEX PIPE & PRODUCTS LLC

This role is responsible for leading and arranging the yard activities including the loading of finished goods to the trucks and routes. Ensures the team members in the group follow all the Health & Safety rules, regulations, and initiatives in the department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but are not limited to:

• Follows Safety Guideline and procedures set for this role.
• Does not operate any equipment, machinery, or tools if he/she has not been trained to operate.
• Follows the production/batch plan according to the daily plan.
• Communicates and escalates equipment failure or malfunction to immediate supervisor and/or the maintenance team immediately.
• Leads the team effectively by mentoring and training them to accomplish the department and business goals.
• Drives accountability with the assigned team (s) by modeling behavior and following the company values.
• Follows the daily delivery and supply chain plan and allocates the resources to obtain the delivery plan on a safe and efficiently manner.
• Manages and plans labor resources to run the department (s) effectively.
• Approves daily and weekly labor reports and timesheets for the team members.
• Reports unsafe conditions in the facility to the EHS Representative immediately.
• Partners with the HR Department in addressing human capital and employment relations issues.
• Performs other duties assigned by the Department Lead, Supervisor, Manager or a member of the Management Team.

EDUCATION

High school diploma or GED preferred.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum two years of experience in a role as a Department Lead or Supervisor
