This is an exciting opportunity to join Oxford University Press (OUP) in a high-impact frontline sales role within the School Education business. The role offers a platform to directly contribute to OUP’s mission of advancing learning, knowledge, and research globally, while strengthening its presence in the education ecosystem.

This opportunity is ideal for professionals looking to take ownership of a territory and drive meaningful growth. It provides exposure to a dynamic mix of print and digital (blended) learning solutions, allowing you to work at the intersection of education and technology.

You will be part of a collaborative and purpose-driven culture, working closely with cross-functional teams (sales, digital, marketing, and product) and engaging with educators and institutional stakeholders. The role offers a chance to make a tangible difference in how educational content is delivered and experienced in schools.

Opportunity – the ‘what’

In this role, you will be responsible for achieving sales and collection targets for your assigned territory through structured planning and strong on-ground execution.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Retaining and growing OUP’s existing market share in the region
  • Promoting educational print and blended learning solutions (Print + LMS) to schools
  • Delivering effective product presentations and pitches to teachers, coordinators, principals, and school management
  • Driving adoption and usage of post-sales platforms such as Oxford Educate
  • Managing and strengthening the distribution network, addressing queries, and ensuring timely collections
  • Expanding sales of OUP library resources and reading products to school libraries
  • Accelerating growth in digital and blended product offerings through demos and engagement initiatives
  • Planning and conducting product demonstrations and logging activities on internal systems (iTrack/Salesforce)
  • Monitoring customer activities and competitive insights within the territory
  • Organizing customer acquisition events, workshops, and training programs
  • Developing and executing innovative ideas to enhance OUP’s brand presence in the region

This role plays a critical part in driving revenue growth, expanding market reach, and strengthening relationships with key stakeholders in the education sector. Your work will directly contribute to OUP’s business success and its long-term positioning in the school education market.

About YouEssential Criteria
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a relevant industry
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory
  • Good understanding of the local market and territory dynamics
  • Proven solution-oriented sales approach, including exposure to digital offerings
Desirable Criteria
  • Experience or understanding of the school education sector
  • Familiarity with blended learning solutions (print + digital)
  • Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders including educators and institutional decision-makers
Key Interfaces
  • Internal: Sales, Digital Sales, Operations, Marketing, and Product teams
  • External: School heads, teachers, and stakeholders from private and public institutions
