We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting for our office in Sheffield, UK. The position is full-time and will be required in the office a minimum of 4 days per week. You’ll lead a high-performing team and play a pivotal role in shaping the integrity and efficiency of our EMEA, UK and DACH revenue accounting operations.
About the roleThe Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting will be part of the Finance Team based in our Sheffield Office and will report directly into the UK & EMEA Financial Controller. This role carries full ownership of the revenue accounting function across EMEA, UK and DACH legal entities, with accountability for monthly management reporting, balance sheet integrity, year-end audit readiness under both local statutory GAAPs and US GAAP, and the robustness of the underlying control environment.
A key focus of this role is strategic leadership of process transformation — you will be expected to champion AI and automation initiatives to drive efficiency and scalability across the team’s workflows. You will also:
- Lead, develop and line manage a team of 6 direct reports, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and professional growth
- Own the monthly revenue accounting close process for EMEA, UK and DACH entities, ensuring revenue is accurately recorded in accordance with both local GAAP and US GAAP requirements
- Drive monthly management reporting, providing insightful commentary and analysis to senior Finance leadership
- Maintain and enhance balance sheet integrity across all assigned entities, ensuring reconciliations are performed, reviewed and any items escalated or resolved in a timely manner
- Lead the team’s preparation for year-end audits across multiple regions, ensuring full audit readiness across both statutory and US GAAP reporting requirements
- Champion the design and maintenance of a robust internal controls framework, identifying and remediating control gaps
- Strategically manage large volumes of financial data, developing scalable approaches to data quality and reporting
- Champion the adoption of AI and automation tools to streamline end-to-end revenue accounting processes, reducing manual effort and enhancing accuracy
- Establish strong cross-functional partnerships, particularly with FP&A, the operational business leaders, and external auditors
- Monitor and ensure SLA requirements are met across assigned entities; escalate and resolve issues proactively
- Understand the assigned product lines and legal entity structures across EMEA, UK and DACH and ensure accounting treatment is appropriate and consistent
To be considered for this role, we’re looking for someone with:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience in a revenue accounting or technical accounting environment
- Demonstrable experience managing and developing a team of professional accountants
- Strong technical knowledge of revenue recognition standards (ASC 606 / IFRS 15) and experience applying both local and US GAAP requirements
- Proven experience in managing multi-entity, multi-currency close processes at scale
- Hands-on experience delivering or supporting year-end statutory and US GAAP audits
- Strong understanding of internal controls frameworks
- Ability to work strategically with large volumes of data; advanced analytical skills with experience using data tools (e.g. Excel, SQL, Power BI or equivalent)
- A genuine passion for leveraging AI and automation to improve finance processes — experience with tools such as Power Automate, Python scripting, RPA, or similar platforms is highly desirable
- Experience across EMEA and/or DACH entities is preferred, including familiarity with relevant local GAAP requirements
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to senior stakeholders
- Highly organised, deadline-driven and able to manage competing priorities across the team
- Experience working within a fast-paced, SaaS or technology company is an advantage
