This role sits at the heart of a dynamic, international People team, supporting employee relations activities across a complex multi-country environment in Northern Europe. You will play a key role in ensuring fair, consistent, and compliant handling of employee relations matters across diverse jurisdictions. The position combines hands-on case management with advisory responsibilities, contributing to both operational excellence and continuous improvement. You will partner closely with HR colleagues and business stakeholders to support managers in navigating sensitive employee issues. The role also involves contributing to policy development, training initiatives, and regional ER frameworks. - Manage and support a wide range of employee relations cases, including disciplinaries, grievances, performance issues, dismissals, reorganisations, and workplace investigations across multiple countries.
- Provide expert guidance to managers and HR stakeholders, ensuring consistent, fair, and legally compliant decision-making aligned with regional practices.
- Conduct and support investigations, including interviews, documentation, case tracking, note-taking, and preparation of clear reports and recommendations.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of ER policies, frameworks, templates, and procedures across the region.
- Deliver or support training sessions and capability-building initiatives for managers and People teams on ER topics and employment law updates.
- Analyse ER case trends and data to identify risks, patterns, and opportunities for process improvement and early resolution strategies.
- Collaborate with People Operations and HR teams to ensure awareness of employment law changes and best practices across Northern Europe.
- Support digitalisation and efficiency initiatives, including the use of AI and tools to improve ER case management and reporting.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and employee relations practices across Northern Europe or similar multi-jurisdiction environments.
- Proven experience handling employee relations cases, investigations, and complex HR issues within a matrix or international organisation.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgement.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to adapt style to different audiences and cultures.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, resilient, and solution-oriented mindset with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
- Degree or professional qualification in HR or a related field is highly desirable.
