Job Description
The Law Office of Yohannes K. Sium, PLLC is a lean, entrepreneurial personal injury firm in Seattle that works hard, thinks strategically, and fights for clients during some of the most stressful moments of their lives.
The firm has grown substantially over the last 15 years and serves a large, diverse client base, including many immigrants and small business owners such as Uber drivers, taxi drivers, and truckers. Many clients are navigating injuries while also trying to keep their businesses, vehicles, and livelihoods moving.
This is a firm where clear communication, cultural awareness, patience, and follow-through matter. Clients need an attorney who can explain the process clearly, build trust, and move cases forward with urgency and care.
Ready for More Than Just Managing a Caseload?Maybe You:
- Are tired of managing cases without having a meaningful voice in strategy or client outcomes
- Want more direct client contact and greater ownership of your cases.
- Are ready to leave the layers of a larger firm behind.
- Want to be part of a small, entrepreneurial firm where you can build strong client relationships and sharpen your litigation skills.
If any of that resonates with you, this role may be exactly what you have been looking for.
Why This Role Is DifferentThis is not a narrow associate role where you sit in the background and wait for assignments. This is an opportunity to join a growing firm at an important stage and become a key part of its future.
The right attorney will help build and shape the litigation side of the practice, work closely with the Founding Attorney, and earn increasing autonomy as trust and performance are demonstrated. Long-term, there may be a path toward leadership, partnership, or ownership interest.
The firm is also in an exciting stage of systems and technology growth, including the rollout of Clio and AI tools like Eve. The ideal candidate is open to learning, improving processes, and using technology to create better client service and stronger outcomes.
About the OpportunityThe firm is seeking a driven Personal Injury Attorney who wants to build a long-term future with a growing practice. The ideal candidate is smart, resourceful, hard-working, and comfortable taking initiative in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
This role is hands-on. Some days you will handle negotiations, motions, depositions, or arbitration preparation. Other days, you may need to jump in wherever needed to keep matters moving. Everyone on the team contributes, and the right person will see that as part of the opportunity.
This attorney will work under close supervision during the first 2–3 months before earning more autonomy.
