About the Role

The Staff Attorney supports the Legal Operations Department by conducting detailed legal reviews of various types of immigration documents, performing legal research, and handling client escalations under senior attorney supervision. This role bridges legal analysis and operational execution to ensure accuracy, risk management, and timely client outcomes. The Staff Attorney works specific queues transitioned to Operations and ensures compliance with legal standards during high-volume processing.

Your Key Contributions

  • Conduct legal reviews of immigration applications and supporting documents for accuracy, completeness, and legal sufficiency.
  • Perform legal research on immigration law topics using various resources.
  • Prepare and track edits to case files; communicate required changes to operations staff.
  • Handle client escalations independently and escalate questions to legal leadership following Standard Operations Procedures and when firm risk is identified.
  • Assist with due diligence, document collection, and matter preparation.
  • Meet productivity targets for case reviews.
  • Support documentation and refinement of escalation workflows.
  • Partner with Senior Attorneys to document and refine escalation workflows.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school and be an active member in good standing of a state bar required.
  • 0-1 year post JD experience preferred
  • Experience using a case management software system preferred Prior immigration experience preferred but not required.
  • Support mission of helping people currently living in America obtain their documents and stay together with their family 
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with non-attorney staff in a high-volume environment.
  • Computer skills (Typing - MS Word and MS Excel, Document Management-DropBox, Email - MS Outlook)

Work Schedule

  • Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM Local Time

The pay range for this role is:
65,000 - 84,000 USD per year(United State)
