Font Producer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Font Producer based in Canada.

This role offers the opportunity to shape live sports broadcasts by transforming data, statistics, and insights into engaging on-air content.
You will support production teams by ensuring accurate, timely, and compelling information enhances storytelling for viewers.
Working within a fast-paced remote production environment, you will collaborate with producers, commentators, and creative teams.
The position requires a strong understanding of sports analytics, attention to detail, and the ability to make quick decisions during live events.
You will play a key role in developing graphics, identifying trends, and bringing deeper context to broadcasts.

Accountabilities:

As a Font Producer, you will be responsible for creating accurate, engaging, and timely informational content that supports live sports storytelling. You will collaborate closely with production teams to ensure graphics and statistical elements enhance the viewer experience.

  • Research and source relevant statistics, analytics, and background information in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with remote producers, commentators, and associate producers to understand storylines and broadcast objectives.
  • Take ownership of content accuracy and quality throughout assigned productions.
  • Develop and pitch statistical insights, trends, and content ideas that add depth to live coverage.
  • Manage and coordinate all graphics elements for assigned remote productions.
  • Provide guidance to graphics operators on how information should be displayed on-air.
  • Monitor live games to identify trends and communicate relevant insights to production teams.
  • Verify spelling, facts, and statistical accuracy across all broadcast graphics.
  • Maintain strong attention to detail while working in a fast-paced live environment.
  • Communicate effectively with production teams and contribute ideas proactively.
  • Work independently while collaborating with a broader production team.
  • Support associate producer responsibilities when required.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced broadcast professional with strong knowledge of live sports production, statistics, and on-air content creation. You bring excellent attention to detail, technical awareness, and the ability to perform effectively in high-pressure environments.

  • 5–7 years of experience in broadcasting, production, or a related media environment.
  • Proven experience working in remote production environments and/or live sports productions.
  • Strong knowledge of sports statistics, analytics, and storytelling techniques, with hockey expertise considered an asset.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines during live events.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with producers, commentators, and technical teams.
  • Experience with production equipment and broadcast technologies.
  • Ability to identify trends and translate data into engaging content.
  • Comfortable working variable schedules, including evenings, weekends, and live event shifts.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
