Partner Operations Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Partner Operations Manager based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to drive operational excellence across strategic partnerships within a mission-driven education technology environment.
You will serve as a key operational partner, ensuring smooth program delivery and strong collaboration between internal teams and external stakeholders.
The position focuses on improving processes, managing complex workflows, and enhancing experiences throughout the customer and student journey.
Working across multiple functions, you will use data, communication, and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities and deliver measurable improvements.
You will play a central role in supporting successful program launches, optimizing ongoing operations, and strengthening long-term partnerships.

Accountabilities:

The Partner Operations Manager will oversee operational execution for assigned partnerships, acting as a trusted liaison between stakeholders and internal teams. The role requires strong organizational skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage priorities in a fast-moving environment while continuously improving processes and outcomes.

  • Serve as the primary operational contact for assigned partners, developing strong relationships and ensuring alignment on goals, priorities, timelines, and program expectations.
  • Lead operational planning and execution for successful program launches and ongoing delivery, ensuring a seamless experience throughout the full student lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including enrollment, marketing, technology, and operations to coordinate deliverables and maintain consistent execution.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve operational challenges proactively while escalating complex issues when necessary.
  • Drive continuous improvement by implementing best practices, optimizing workflows, reducing operational friction, and improving partner and user experiences.
  • Support change management initiatives by communicating process updates, guiding adoption, and helping stakeholders transition to new systems and workflows.
  • Analyze operational data, performance trends, and escalations to identify root causes and recommend actionable improvements.
  • Maintain accurate reporting, documentation, and data processes to provide visibility into performance and support informed decision-making.
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders regarding operational updates, metrics, priorities, and program changes.
  • Contribute to resource planning, prioritization discussions, and scalability initiatives to support long-term growth.
  • Document processes, decisions, and partner updates to ensure transparency, consistency, and operational continuity.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate has experience managing complex operations, coordinating multiple stakeholders, and improving processes in a client-facing environment. They should combine strong relationship-building abilities with analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • 5+ years of experience in operations, account management, project management, or program management roles.
  • Experience working in higher education, education technology, or another complex stakeholder-driven environment is preferred.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple workflows, prioritize competing demands, and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience using data and insights to identify trends, solve operational challenges, and improve performance.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, student information systems (SIS), reporting tools, or operational platforms is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders, manage change, and support adoption of new processes or technologies.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, documentation, and operational accuracy.
  • Experience leveraging technology, automation, or AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency and decision-making is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration across teams.
