About the Role:

The Clinical Aide plays a vital role in supporting healthcare professionals by providing essential assistance in clinical settings to ensure efficient client care. This position involves preparing examination rooms, assisting with patient intake, and supporting medical staff during procedures to enhance the overall patient experience. The Clinical Aide is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment, managing medical supplies, and ensuring that all equipment is properly sterilized and ready for use. By facilitating smooth clinical operations, the Clinical Aide contributes directly to the quality and effectiveness of healthcare delivery. This role requires a compassionate approach, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a recognized Clinical Aide or Healthcare Assistant training program.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a clinical or healthcare environment.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Additional certifications related to patient care or infection control.
  • Bilingual abilities, particularly in English and French, to better serve diverse client populations.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist healthcare professionals with client preparation and positioning for examinations and treatments.
  • Prepare and maintain examination rooms by cleaning and sterilizing instruments and surfaces according to infection control protocols.
  • Manage inventory of medical supplies and ensure timely restocking to support uninterrupted clinical operations.
  • Record and update patient information accurately under the supervision of clinical staff.
  • Adhere strictly to healthcare regulations, privacy policies, and safety standards.
