Accounts Receivable Coordinator

Location: Houston, TX (Greenspoint) - Onsite

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM (30-Minute Lunch)

About the Role

As an Accounts Receivable Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the company's financial operations by managing incoming payments, maintaining customer accounts, and assisting with account reconciliation activities.

Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Receivable Management
  • Process and apply incoming payments accurately and timely.
  • Monitor customer accounts to ensure outstanding balances are addressed appropriately.
  • Research and resolve payment discrepancies, unapplied cash, and account issues.
  • Maintain accurate customer account records and documentation.
  • Assist with account reconciliations and aging analysis.
Customer Service & Account Support
  • Communicate with clients regarding account balances, payment status, and billing inquiries.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers while providing exceptional service.
  • Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to address account-related questions and issues.
Financial Operations
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial processes.
  • Assist with reporting and reconciliation activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
Team Collaboration
  • Partner with Accounting, Operations, Billing, and Customer Service teams to ensure timely resolution of account issues.
  • Assist with special projects and department initiatives as assigned.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to accounts receivable processes and efficiencies.

QualificationsRequired
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Preferred
  • Experience within a professional services or business services environment.
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
