Job Description

Akira Technologies is seeking a SharePoint and Power Platform Developer to support the U.S. Navy’s Field Support Activity (FSA) / Budget Support Office (BSO), which provides budget reporting and analysis to Navy Headquarters OPNAV.

The developer will support the migration of content and data from legacy systems to cloud-based SharePoint environments and develop solutions that improve the organization's knowledge and data management capabilities. This role will leverage SharePoint, Microsoft Power Platform, Dataverse, Power Automate, Power Apps, and Microsoft 365 to connect data, documents, and business processes through structured and automated workflows.

This is a high-visibility, customer-facing position requiring strong technical, communication, and presentation skills.

This is an onsite role to support the Washington Navy Yard location in Washington, DC up to three (3) days a week. An active Secret clearance or higher is also required.

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute migration of content, documents, and data from legacy systems to SharePoint.
  • Design, develop, configure, and maintain SharePoint sites, subsites, lists, document libraries, workflows, and custom solutions.
  • Develop and manage large SharePoint document libraries and content structures.
  • Integrate SharePoint with Dataverse, Power Automate, Power Apps, and Microsoft 365 to automate business processes and data flows.
  • Develop, test, troubleshoot, and implement SharePoint and Power Platform enhancements.
  • Use scripting languages and applicable web development frameworks to support custom SharePoint solutions.
  • Assess and document current-state processes, issues, data, and system requirements.
  • Support cloud-based technology and migration initiatives.
  • Gather requirements and translate customer needs into effective technical solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and status updates to Navy stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain technical and process documentation.
  • Recommend improvements to SharePoint architecture, content management, automation, and usability.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SharePoint development and administration.
  • Experience with SharePoint migration and cloud-based SharePoint environments.
  • Experience designing and managing large SharePoint sites and document libraries.
  • Experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and Microsoft 365/Office 365.
  • Experience with scripting languages and web development frameworks.
  • Strong testing, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work directly with government customers and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Ability to work onsite at the Washington Navy Yard at least 3 days per week.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting the Department of Defense or U.S. Navy.
  • Experience with enterprise SharePoint migrations and information architecture.
  • Experience with Power Platform solution development and workflow automation.
  • Experience with data management, business process analysis, or systems integration.
  • Familiarity with federal data management and security requirements.

Salary Range: $100,000 to $120,000

Akira’s pay range for this position considers various factors including skills, years of experience, training, licenses, certifications, alignment with market data, and internal equity in the organization. This pay range estimate is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary, which Akira believes to be done in good faith in compliance with local laws. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
