The Senior Procurement Manager will lead procurement strategy, sourcing initiatives, supplier relationships, and process improvements across key business categories. This role will act as a strategic partner to internal stakeholders while driving cost optimization, operational excellence, and technology-enabled transformation.
- Develop and execute category strategies across Marketing, HR, Finance, and additional enterprise spend areas based on business priorities.
- Partner with executive stakeholders and internal teams to identify sourcing opportunities, define requirements, and deliver effective procurement solutions.
- Lead end-to-end sourcing activities, including RFP processes, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and contract execution.
- Manage supplier relationships, performance reviews, governance processes, and opportunities for consolidation and innovation.
- Drive total cost of ownership improvements, risk mitigation strategies, and compliance with procurement policies and controls.
- Support procurement transformation initiatives, including the implementation and adoption of AI-driven intake-to-pay platforms.
- Design and optimize procurement workflows, approval processes, and user experiences to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Translate business needs into technology requirements and continuously enhance procurement processes.
- Provide stakeholder education, enablement, and change management support to encourage adoption of new procurement practices.
- Lead and mentor team members while managing vendor relationships and supporting overall procurement operations.
The ideal candidate brings extensive procurement leadership experience, strong business acumen, and the ability to manage complex sourcing initiatives while building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.
- 8+ years of experience in procurement category leadership roles, with demonstrated success managing complex categories and strategic sourcing initiatives.
- 3+ years of people management experience, including coaching, developing, and guiding team members.
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to deliver cost savings and measurable business outcomes.
- Deep knowledge of procurement best practices, category management, supplier strategy, market trends, and contracting processes.
- Experience managing end-to-end Source-to-Pay (S2P) processes and procurement transformation initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across executive and cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and organizational skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred; MBA strongly preferred.
- Professional procurement certification such as CPSM is a plus.
- Experience with AI-based procurement platforms, intake-to-pay solutions, or ERP systems such as NetSuite is preferred.
- Experience in education technology, contract consolidation, or managing strategic agreements across multiple entities is advantageous.
- Competitive salary range of $112,256 to $179,610 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, location, and other job-related factors.
