Sales Manager, Commercial Claims

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sales Manager, Commercial Claims based in United States.

This leadership role manages and develops a team of Commercial Claims Account Managers serving the Property & Casualty insurance market.
You’ll be responsible for driving revenue growth, customer retention, strategic account expansion, and overall sales performance.
The position combines people leadership with direct involvement in strategic customer relationships and high-value sales opportunities.
You’ll work closely with insurance carrier executives and claims leaders to understand operational challenges and identify opportunities for technology, data, analytics, and workflow solutions.
The role provides significant influence across account strategy, pipeline development, forecasting, talent development, and market expansion.
You’ll collaborate with product, implementation, sales support, and solution teams to deliver strong customer outcomes.
This is a nationwide remote opportunity with travel of up to 30% and a strong focus on commercial insurance claims expertise.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Commercial Claims Account Managers to achieve or exceed revenue, retention, and growth objectives.

  • Establish clear sales priorities, performance expectations, development goals, and accountability across the team.

  • Drive execution of strategic account plans designed to expand relationships within Commercial Property & Casualty insurance carrier claims organizations.

  • Manage sales forecasting, pipeline health, territory planning, performance metrics, and overall team execution.

  • Support customer meetings, sales opportunities, contract negotiations, and executive-level relationship management.

  • Maintain direct ownership of assigned customer accounts during vacancies, onboarding periods, territory realignments, or other business needs.

  • Partner with account managers to identify expansion opportunities, increase solution adoption, and strengthen market penetration.

  • Build and maintain relationships with claims executives, claims operations leaders, innovation teams, Special Investigative Unit (SIU) leaders, and other key stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with Product, Implementation, Sales Support, and Product Solution Specialist teams to support successful customer outcomes.

  • Create and execute talent development and succession plans while providing ongoing coaching and feedback.

  • Monitor industry trends, customer needs, competitive offerings, and changes across the commercial claims landscape.

  • Balance team leadership responsibilities with direct customer engagement and strategic sales execution.

Requirements:
  • Proven sales experience with a demonstrated record of generating revenue growth and managing strategic customer relationships.

  • Commercial Property & Casualty insurance industry experience is required.

  • Previous people-management experience, including coaching, developing, and managing sales professionals, is required.

  • Strong understanding of commercial insurance claims processes, workflows, and operational challenges.

  • Experience selling data, analytics, SaaS, workflow, or technology solutions is preferred.

  • Direct experience working within claims operations is a plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain relationships with insurance carrier executives and senior stakeholders.

  • Strong project management, communication, presentation, negotiation, and analytical skills.

  • Ability to translate customer challenges into relevant business and technology solutions.

  • Strong strategic thinking and account planning capabilities, combined with a hands-on approach to sales leadership.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across product, implementation, sales, and customer-facing teams.

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% as business needs require.

  • U.S. national base salary range of $89,700–$166,400, with geographic differentials applicable in certain locations.

  • Sales compensation includes a combination of base and variable pay, with the exact mix depending on the sales role.
