Strategic Account Executive - Central/West

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Strategic Account Executive - Central/West based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to drive enterprise growth for an advanced AI and analytics platform across a strategic Central/West U.S. territory. As a Strategic Account Executive, you will own the full sales cycle, from prospect engagement and opportunity development through negotiation and close. You will work with large enterprises across diverse industries, helping leaders identify opportunities to apply data, analytics, and emerging technologies to business challenges. The role combines consultative selling, strategic account development, executive engagement, and competitive positioning. You will collaborate closely with Marketing, Product Management, Sales Engineering, and other teams to demonstrate measurable business value. As an individual contributor in a growing organization, you will have significant ownership of your territory and customer relationships.

Accountabilities:
  • Own and manage the complete enterprise sales cycle across a defined Central/West U.S. territory, from prospecting and qualification through negotiation and closing.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans for prospects and customers across multiple industries.
  • Engage enterprise decision-makers around data, analytics, AI, and advanced technology initiatives, identifying opportunities where the platform can address business and operational challenges.
  • Apply a customer-centric, consultative sales approach to understand customer priorities, develop compelling value propositions, and guide complex buying processes.
  • Build strong relationships across customer organizations, developing alignment among multiple stakeholder groups and cultivating internal champions.
  • Develop a clear vision match between customer priorities and platform capabilities, demonstrating how technology can deliver meaningful business value.
  • Articulate competitive positioning effectively and differentiate solutions in complex enterprise sales environments.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Product Management, Sales Engineering, and other teams to develop customer strategies and deliver compelling sales engagements.
  • Manage pipeline development, opportunity progression, forecasting, and territory performance with strong ownership and accountability.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies, market trends, and customer priorities to identify new opportunities for enterprise growth.
  • Travel approximately 30–50% as required to engage customers, prospects, and strategic stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in software field sales, preferably within complex enterprise technology environments.
  • Demonstrated success selling innovative technologies, new concepts, or emerging solutions to large enterprise organizations.
  • Strong commitment to customer-centric selling and a proven ability to apply consultative sales methodologies.
  • Excellent ability to understand complex customer challenges, develop a compelling vision, and align multiple stakeholder groups around a solution.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to cultivate customer champions throughout lengthy and complex sales cycles.
  • Strong understanding of competitive positioning and the ability to communicate differentiated business value.
  • Experience working with data-related technologies such as big data, analytics, data science, business intelligence/data warehousing, or data integration is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and executive engagement skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as an individual contributor while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
  • High level of accountability, initiative, and commercial ownership.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment and adapting to evolving customer and market needs.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30–50% for customer and business engagements.
  • Previous experience in an early-stage startup environment is a plus.
