Summary of Position
As part of the ARTISAN maintenance team, you’ll play a key role in protecting, maintaining, and enhancing the value of the community while helping residents feel truly at home. This position requires general maintenance expertise and a passion for providing exceptional service.
This is a flexible, in-person internship offering 20–30 hours per week, Monday through Friday. We're happy to work with the selected candidate to build a schedule.
Principal Accountabilities
- Conduct all business in accordance with ARTISAN policies and procedures, Fair Housing, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and all applicable federal and state laws.
- Provide administrative support to the Operations and Property Management team.
- Prepare and maintain spreadsheets, presentations, reports, and business documents with a high level of accuracy.
- Participate in on-site visits, acquisitions, and special projects to gain hands-on experience supporting community operations.
- Organize electronic files, contracts, and operational records to ensure information is accurate, accessible, and compliant with company standards.
- Conduct research, collect data, and compile information to support business decisions and operational improvements.
- Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn new systems, take initiative, and contribute wherever support is needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Current college student or recent graduate pursuing Business, Finance, Real Estate, Management, Marketing, or a related field.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed.
- Ability to follow instructions, prioritize tasks effectively, and ask questions when clarification is needed.
The pay range for this role is:
16 - 18 USD per hour(Des Moines, IA)
