Job Description

Customer Success Associate

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Customer Success Associate based in Canada.

The Customer Success Associate will manage a portfolio of school and school district accounts, helping clients achieve measurable value from a SaaS-based education solution. You will build trusted relationships, strengthen product adoption, and support retention and revenue growth through proactive account management. The role combines customer advocacy, problem-solving, training coordination, and commercial awareness. You will work closely with internal teams to resolve issues, communicate customer needs, and contribute to continuous improvements in the customer experience. Success will require empathy, organization, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently. This is an opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven environment focused on helping educators and students plan successful futures.

Accountabilities:
  • Manage renewals, support revenue growth, and reduce churn across an assigned portfolio of school and school district accounts.
  • Build strong, long-term client relationships and proactively monitor account health, satisfaction, engagement, and product adoption.
  • Develop practical success plans with school districts based on their resources, priorities, and desired outcomes.
  • Guide clients on implementation best practices and help them maximize the value of the platform.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers, identify concerns, manage challenging conversations, and escalate critical issues when appropriate.
  • Identify opportunities for increased adoption, add-ons, and upselling while ensuring recommendations are aligned with customer needs.
  • Coordinate and schedule web-based training sessions and support customers throughout their ongoing journey.
  • Act as an advocate for both customers and internal teams, facilitating effective resolutions to issues and requests.
  • Collaborate with product development, client solutions, sales, onboarding, and other internal stakeholders to resolve customer challenges.
  • Document customer interactions accurately and maintain leads and account information in Salesforce or the relevant CRM.
  • Identify and report product bugs while helping internal teams understand customer impact and priorities.
  • Analyze customer feedback, processes, and engagement patterns to contribute insights that improve customer success strategies.
  • Share experiences, best practices, and lessons learned with colleagues to strengthen team performance.
Requirements
  • 1–2 years of demonstrated experience managing client relationships while maintaining strong satisfaction and retention, preferably within a SaaS environment.
  • Proven ability to build trusted customer relationships and consistently deliver value through proactive account management.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, analytical, and critical-thinking skills, with the creativity and resourcefulness to develop practical solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing information, planning activities, and meeting deadlines effectively.
  • Self-directed and able to prioritize multiple projects and customer requests of varying complexity.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment where independence, adaptability, and effective prioritization are essential.
  • Enthusiasm for learning new technologies, processes, and customer engagement approaches.
  • Experience with Salesforce or a comparable CRM platform.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace/G Suite.
  • A customer-first mindset, strong interpersonal skills, and genuine interest in supporting educators and improving outcomes for students.
Benefits
  • 14-month contract opportunity with a remote working arrangement within Canada.
  • Target OTE compensation of $70,000–$75,000, combining base salary and incentive compensation, with the final offer based on experience and expertise.
  • Flexible work arrangements supporting remote work.
  • Four weeks of vacation.
  • Employer-paid health and dental benefits.
  • Four-month parental leave top-up.
  • Group RRSP with 3% employer matching.
  • Professional development opportunities, including internal and external training and mentoring.
  • Dedicated professional development budget for employees.
  • Opportunity to work with leading technologies in an agile, innovative, and learning-focused environment.
  • Inclusive culture that values diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences.
  • Meaningful opportunity to contribute to education technology and help educators support students in planning successful futures.
