Job Description
General Manager
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented General Manager to oversee daily restaurant activities. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and committed to maintaining high standards of service, safety, and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all restaurant policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs are followed and completed in a timely manner.
- Meet weekly with the management team to review progress, address issues, and plan upcoming activities, with agenda items prepared in advance.
- Monitor compliance with health and fire safety regulations related to food preparation, serving, and building maintenance.
- Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, facility appearance, sanitation, and cleanliness through effective staff training and creating a positive, productive work environment.
- Oversee food preparation methods, portion sizes, garnishing, and presentation to ensure food quality and visual appeal meet established standards.
- Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations governing food safety, sanitation, and employment practices.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with staff to improve service delivery and operational processes, fostering teamwork and continuous improvement.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar hospitality leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to monitor and improve food quality and presentation standards.
- Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in using restaurant management software and MS Office Suite.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality management or related field is preferred.
