The Configuration Management Change Specialist is responsible for managing the change control process for Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Requests for Variances (RFVs). This role requires a thorough understanding of the need, description, and impact of assigned problem reports (PRs), change requests (CRs), and change orders (COs). Change Specialists collaborate with internal stakeholders—including Engineering, Program Office, Logistics, and Supply Chain—to implement change control processes in accordance with industry standard EIA-649, ensuring accurate configuration status accounting (CSA) as well as maintain precise as-designed information to support effective procurement.

- Receive & enrich problem report.
- Derive Change Requests (CR)/Request for Variance (RFV), entering initial attributing/information and prepare for processing through the Change Process.
- Preparation of Engineering Change Order (ECO) package for delivery to customer
- Produce Engineering Release Record (ERR) deliveries to customer.
- Derive Change Orders (CO) from the CR entering initial attributing/information and prepare for processing through the change control process.
- Review data attribution and ensure compliance to workflow handlers and release requirements to mitigate downstream errors for internal and external customers
- Ensure movement of COs through to completion after all reviews are complete.
- Support Change Specialist 1 activities as required.
- Maintain accurate configuration management (CM) files and records are maintained in the product data management (PDM) system
- Update training materials and participate in continuous improvement efforts
- Enforce good CM standards while educating the business on the importance of adhering to those standards
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in change management or relevant technical skill
- Minimum of 3+ years of ERP/MRP experience
- Detailed understanding of EBOM and MBOM structuring and effectivity
- Candidates with experience in Teamcenter very beneficial
- Able to bring continuous improvement processes and methodologies to the position
- Microsoft office proficient
- The candidate will need to have strong written and oral communication skills
- Comfortability with independent learning and a self-starter attitude is needed
