Job Description
Reporting to the Director of Quality and Continuous Improvement, this position will be located in our Medina, OH facility and support the needs of our Plymouth Meeting, PA facility. This position is responsible for analyzing, designing, and optimizing workflows to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall operational performance. The Process Improvement Engineer identifies inefficiencies in organizational systems and develops data-driven solutions to streamline operations. Using methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma, this role bridges the gap between current state operations and future-state optimization to ensure the organization remains competitive and cost-effective.
Core Responsibilities:
• Process Analysis – Conduct thorough assessments of current operational processes using tools like process mapping, flowcharts, and value stream mapping (VSM) to identify bottlenecks.
• Data-Driven Optimization – Gather and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as cycle time, throughput, and scrap rates to quantify inefficiencies.
• Solution Implementation – Lead cross-functional teams to implement process changes, which may include redesigning workflows, introducing new technologies or infrastructure, or automating manual tasks.
• Root Cause Analysis – Perform detailed Root Cause Analysis to address recurring quality or productivity issues and implement corrective actions.
• Standardization & Documentation – Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and control plans to sustain improvements and ensure compliance.
• Training & Mentorship – Facilitate workshops (e.g., Kaizen events) and train employees on continuous improvement methodologies and new tools.
Requirements:Requirements
• A bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, process engineering or mechanical engineering required.
• Three to Five years' experience in process improvement or manufacturing engineering required.
• Demonstrated ability to apply Lean methodologies to drive process improvement.
• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification strongly preferred
. • Experience in a Chemical Plant preferred
. • A thorough understanding of the latest process enhancement strategies.

• Communication- Ability to articulate complex data and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Change Management – Strong leadership skills to build trust and guide teams through organizational transitions.
• Problem Solving – A logical and methodical approach to resolving unusual or complex operational challenges.
• Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., Excel, Power BI, MS Office) and familiarity with ERP systems.
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in a chemical plant environment.
