Day Porter - Light Handyman Duties in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at SST Direct

DIRECT HIRE: A fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team in the Central Philadelphia PA. area. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, safety, and a professional appearance of the property during business hours. Acts as a visible and responsive presence for tenants, visitors, and staff.

Salary Range: $22hr - $25hr

Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday, +OTKey Responsibilities:

• Clean high-traffic areas: lobbies, elevators, restrooms, corridors, entrances and loading docks
• Use a pressure washer
• Clean windows
• Respond to leak and issues
• Restock restroom supplies and clean up restrooms
• Perform frequent touchpoint cleaning (elevator buttons, door handles, etc.)
• Respond to tenant service requests and minor maintenance issues lights, ballast and light plumbing repairs
• Remove trash and recyclables from trash rooms
• Clean spills and hazards to ensure safety
• Inspect common areas and report issues
• Assist with deliveries, event setups, furniture moves
• Support seasonal tasks (e.g., snow/ice removal)
• Maintain professional appearance and attitude
• Be able to go to multiple building to perform these tasks

Qualifications:

• Experience in janitorial/custodial/building maintenance (preferably high-rise/multi-tenant)
• Mild commercial electrical and plumbing maintenance knowledge/experience (essential)
• Strong attention to detail and safety
• Ability to work independently and manage time
• Excellent communication and customer service
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Familiarity with building systems and safety protocols is a plus
