Laundry Attendant and Housekeeping - Private Country Club - Part Time at West Shore Country Club – Camp Hill, Pennsylvania

The Laundry Attendant/ Housekeeper primary duties entail upkeep and organization of Laundry and Linen Room. Clean and iron soiled linen, cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining all areas throughout the Clubhouse. This position reports directly to the Director of Facilities.

Job Classification: Hourly, Non-Exempt

Starting Wage: $17.00 to $18.00 Hour

Work Schedule: Schedule does have some flexibility based on individual and business needs

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Performs general cleaning and sanitizing tasks and services throughout the clubhouse.

• Uses cleaning cart to transport cleaning supplies.

• Cleans and disinfects bathrooms.

• Cleans and disinfects kitchen and dining areas.

• Wipes and dusts surfaces in main areas, event rooms and cleans mirrors.

• Vacuums and cleans floors, rugs, furniture, and drapes.

• Stocks soap and hand towels in bathrooms.

• Picks up and empties trash containers.

• Identify and treat stains, including soaking or using specialized chemical cleaning agents

• Safely loading, unloading and setting programs for commercial washers, high capacity dryers, and folding machines

• Multitasking with linen in various industrial laundry machines running at the same time.

• Operating, feeding, and monitoring industrial folding machine

• Separates and stores linen by type

• Cleans laundry room and linen room

• Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies

• Notifies maintenance if something is not working properly.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Adhering to OSHA guidelines

Requirements

• Detail-oriented and thorough.

• Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of guests.

• Sufficient ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English to complete work efficiently, effectively, and courteously.

• Ability to follow instructions and precautions while working with various chemicals.

Education and Experience:

• Education sufficient to read, write, and speak as needed for the job

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent is preferred

Housekeeping/Laundry experience, preferred

Physical Requirements:

•Exposure to loud noise levels, chemicals, dampness and high temperatures.

•Prolonged periods standing and walking and frequently pulling, pushing, and bending.

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds at times.
