About This Position
Kamco Supply Corp. of Boston is New England's largest one stop source and distributor of commercial building products including acoustical ceiling systems, architectural doors and hardware, drywall, steel framing, insulation, and exterior systems.
We are currently seeking to add a Service Department Coordinator/ Dispatcher to our team.
The Service Department Coordinator supports service operations across multiple locations throughout New England, serving as the central point of coordination between customers, technicians, and branch teams. This role is responsible for scheduling, dispatching, prioritization, and communication to ensure efficient service delivery, primarily across commercial businesses, including emergencies.
Success in this role requires strong organization, proactive communication, and the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple crews and regions in a fast-paced service environment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Coordinate scheduling and dispatching for multiple locations and technician teams, including:
- Commercial service calls
- Installations
- Emergency and priority service requests
Receive and manage incoming phone calls and emails from:
- Property managers
- Facilities teams
- Contractors and vendors
Accurately gather job details and create or update work orders in the service system.
Prioritize service requests across branches & customers, balancing:
- Customer urgency
- Technician availability
- Travel time and workload
Adjust schedules in real time as emergency requests, delays, or field conditions arise.
Communicate clearly and consistently with technicians to ensure they have:
- Complete job information
- Correct site and customer details
- Clear expectations and priorities
Collaborate with branch leaders, service managers, and accounting to support:
- Job follow-ups
- Invoicing accuracy
- Service documentation
Maintain accurate records and ensure consistent service standards across all serviced locations.
Requirements:Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage high call and job volume.
- Clear, professional communication skills (phone and email).
- Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a time-sensitive, multi-location environment.
- Strong attention to detail and solid computer proficiency.
- Customer-service mindset with strong problem-solving and prioritization skills.
- Ability to collaborate across departments and geographic locations.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in Locksmithing, construction, facilities management, field service or trade-based operations.
- Familiar with commercial door hardware and access control systems.
- Previous experience coordinating multi-branch or multi-crew service operations.
- Experience with service scheduling or dispatch software.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Tools, including Microsoft Business Central, Outlook, Excel, Teams, or related applications

- Service requests are prioritized appropriately across branches without missed or delayed commitments.
- Customers experience consistent, professional service coordination regardless of location.
- Work orders, job details, and invoicing information are accurate and complete.
- The service department runs smoothly even during emergencies or peak demand.
