Pay: $20.00–$24.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

Jake's Heating, Air & Plumbing is growing, and we're looking for a motivated Excavation / Sewer Install Helper who's ready to roll up their sleeves, work hard, and build a career in the plumbing and sewer industry.

• Get Hands-On: Assist with residential sewer line installations, replacements, repairs, and excavation projects.
• Support the Crew: Work alongside experienced installers and equipment operators to complete jobs safely and efficiently.
• Get the Job Ready: Help prepare job sites, load and unload materials, dig trenches, and organize tools and equipment.
• Learn the Trade: Gain hands-on experience with sewer piping, underground utilities, trenching, backfilling, and excavation techniques.
• Keep Things Moving: Assist with pipe installation, grading, backfilling, and job site cleanup.
• Work Safely: Follow excavation safety procedures, trench safety requirements, and company standards.
• Take Ownership: Pay attention to details, follow instructions, and take pride in doing the job right.
• Finish Strong: Help restore job sites, maintain equipment, and leave customers' properties clean and professional.

• Previous excavation, sewer installation, plumbing, construction, or general labor experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including digging, lifting, and moving materials.
• Someone who takes initiative, stays productive, and doesn't need constant direction.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work well with a team.
• A positive attitude, strong attention to safety, and a desire to grow.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to successfully complete a background check and drug screening.

• Experience with sewer line installations, underground utilities, or excavation.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
• Experience assisting with trenching, pipe laying, or backfilling.
• Knowledge of basic excavation and job site safety practices.
• Experience working around excavators, skid steers, or other heavy equipment.
