In this entry-level role as a Mechanic’s Assistant, you will support daily operations in a busy mechanical shop environment. This role focuses primarily on custodial, organizational, and shop support duties to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient workspace for our mechanics and technicians.

How You’ll Make An Impact

Shop Cleanliness & Organization

• Sweep and mop shop floors daily
• Remove trash and dispose of waste materials properly
• Clean work bays, tool areas, and common spaces
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms and break areas
• Wipe down surfaces and keep shop equipment free of debris

Inventory & Materials Support

• Organize tools and return equipment to proper storage locations
• Stock shop supplies (rags, fluids, PPE, etc.)
• Assist with receiving and putting away parts deliveries
• Keep storage areas neat and clearly labeled

General Shop Assistance

• Assist mechanics with basic non-technical tasks as directed
• Transport parts, tools, and materials within the shop
• Support safety efforts by maintaining clear walkways and hazard-free work areas
• Follow all shop safety procedures and PPE requirements

What You Bring

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable working in a mechanical/industrial environment
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Basic understanding of hand tools (preferred but not required)
• Willingness to learn and take direction
