To assist in the delivery of audiologic services under the supervision of a licensed audiologist.

Requirements:

  • High School or GED
  • Strong Analytical Skills

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare hearing aids and accessories for the fitting and dispensing by the audiologist, including electroacoustic analysis of hearing aids and other amplification devices.
2. Troubleshoot, clean, and perform minor repairs to hearing aids, earmolds, and other amplification devices and demonstrate assistive listening devices
3. Instruct patients in proper use and care of hearing aids and other amplification devices and assist Audiologist in treatment programs including assisting in test patient preparation and testing of pediatric patients.
4. Perform non‑diagnostic otoscopy and create earmold impressions.
5. Collaborate with hearing instrument manufacturers and suppliers regarding status of orders/repairs.
6. Package and mail earmold orders, device repairs and manufacturer repairs.
7. Perform billing and recordkeeping, including documenting work associated with direct or indirect patient care with the approval of the supervising Audiologist.
8. Perform appointment scheduling and various clerical and administrative duties as needed.
9. Participate in practice improvement initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.
