PURPOSE
The purpose of this position is to lead the patient experience transformation efforts in the Culinary Health Center(s). The scope of this position serves as a facilitator and coach in developing, mentoring, and shifting mental models. Ensuring services provided by provider partners embody the health center’s core values and beliefs needed for a sustainable and exceptional patient experience.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES- Provide all functions of Participant Advocate II/III as it pertains to assisting participants and utilizing systems
- Monitor/shadow, evaluate and report on the utilization of the Clear Health initiative
- Monitor/shadow, evaluate and report on service provided to patients and their families
- Mentor and coach, all staff at health center on their use of the Clear Health initiative
- Mentor and coach staff on creating an environment of high engagement
- Provide feedback to the Manager of Patient Experience to assist in developing workflows that maximize the patient experience
- Act as a role model in service excellence
- Act decisively and take effective action when processing patient complaints and resolutions
- Work collaboratively with staff of provider partners within the health center to establish accountability
- Identify and report on areas for opportunity and derive success in the patient experience
- Supports the Culinary Health Fund Advocates in a variety of ways (Advocacy line, wellness classes, open enrollments for the Fund, Hospitality and Alaska Plans, etc.) when needed
- Travel for Fund enrollment events when necessary
- Sets goals and achieve measurable results
- Contributes ideas to plans and achieving department goals

Years of Experience and Knowledge
- 2 ~ 4+ years of related experience required
- 1 ~ 2+ years of Advocacy work in a health plan/health care/union environment experience required
- 1 ~ 2+ years of Advocate II/III experience required (internal candidates)
- 1 ~ 2+ years of experience in support of/working for the Culinary Union required
- 1 ~ 2+ years of health benefits knowledge required
- Working knowledge and experience with Taft-Hartley Funds or in a union environment preferred
- Familiarity with cultural traditions and life experiences of Fund’s participants preferred
- Experience working with low-income and immigrant communities preferred
• Associate degree in health care administration, wellness, public health or related field or equivalent work experience required
Skills and Abilities
- Preferred fluency (speak and write) in Spanish
- Intermediate level Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Intermediate level Microsoft Excel skills
- Intermediate level system(s) skills in databases
- 10% ~ 15% travel, primarily within the Las Vegas area
Salary range for this position: Salary $70,500 - $88,200. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to: relevant experience, qualifications, expertise, certifications, licenses, education or equivalent work experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
Work Schedule (may vary to meet business needs): Monday~Friday, 7.5 hours per day (37.5 hours per week) as an onsite position.
