Location: Wadsworth, OH

Role Overview

EAH is seeking a people-focused HR Generalist – Employee Relations to serve as a key resource for employee relations across the organization. This role ensures positive, compliant, and consistent employee experience by partnering with employees, managers, and HR leadership to address workplace concerns, performance issues, and policy interpretation.

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager of EAH, the HR Generalist will play a critical role in:

• Maintaining strong employee relationships and promoting fair, consistent practices.

• Supporting managers in navigating employee-related matters.

• Driving training and development initiatives to enhance manager capability and foster engagement across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations (Primary Focus)

• Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations matters across the organization, including workplace concerns, conflict resolution, and policy clarification.

• Partner with managers to proactively address performance, attendance, conduct, and behavioral issues through coaching and guidance.

• Support and participate in employee relations investigations, including documentation, interviews, and follow-up actions, ensuring fairness, consistency, and confidentiality.

• Advise managers and employees on HR policies, employment practices, and procedures to ensure consistent and compliant application.

• Support corrective action processes, including counseling, documentation, and performance improvement plans.

• Promote a respectful, inclusive, and engaged workplace culture through open communication and timely issue resolution.

• Identify trends in employee relations matters and provide insights and recommendations to HR leadership.

Training & Development (Supporting Focus)

• Co-facilitate employee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a positive, engaging, and consistent introduction to the organization.

• Support performance management processes, including review cycles, goal setting, and feedback initiatives.

• Assist in the development and delivery of manager training focused on employee relations topics such as performance management, coaching, and policy compliance.

• Contribute to learning materials, presentations, and development resources that enhance employee and manager effectiveness.

HR Operations & Compliance Support

• Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, including new hire, job change, and termination data within the HR system

• Provide timely, professional responses to employee inquiries across a wide range of HR topics

• Support HR policy development, handbook updates, and communication of employment practices

• Generate basic HR reporting and dashboards to support people-related decision-making

• Assist with additional HR initiatives and projects as assigned

Requirements:

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

• 4–5 years of Human Resources experience, with employee relations exposure strongly preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive employee matters with discretion and professionalism.

• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

• Proven ability to build trust and credibility with employees and managers at all levels.

• Sound judgment and strong problem-solving skills, particularly in ambiguous or sensitive situations.

• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Collaborative mindset with a strong commitment to fairness, consistency, and a positive employee experience.
