Restoration and Remodel Technician
Position summaryFischer Restoration is seeking a skilled technician to rebuild and finish spaces after the Mitigation team has completed its work and handed off the project. The technician also works on planned remodel projects. This person completes assigned repairs, produces clean finishes, communicates professionally with customers, and helps move projects through completion.Essential responsibilities
Position summaryFischer Restoration is seeking a skilled technician to rebuild and finish spaces after the Mitigation team has completed its work and handed off the project. The technician also works on planned remodel projects. This person completes assigned repairs, produces clean finishes, communicates professionally with customers, and helps move projects through completion.Essential responsibilities
- Repair, install, tape, texture, and finish drywall to match surrounding surfaces.Prepare surfaces and complete interior painting, including patching, priming, trim work, and final touchups.Perform light carpentry, including installing or repairing trim, doors, baseboards, cabinets, and other finish materials within the scope of assigned projects.Complete general repair and punch-list work associated with restoration and remodeling projects.Assist with project setup, material handling, site protection, cleanup, and final quality checks.Identify conditions that may change the scope or schedule and communicate them promptly to the Project Manager.Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful work area in occupied homes and businesses.Document work completed and follow company procedures for photos, materials, and job updates.Coordinate with properly credentialed tradespeople when a project requires plumbing, electrical, or other licensed work. Perform regulated work only when appropriately credentialed and authorized.
- Hands-on experience with drywall repair and finishing, painting, and light carpentry.Ability to work independently on assigned repairs and deliver a professional finished result.Ability to read work orders, measure accurately, select appropriate materials, and use common hand and power tools safely.Strong customer service skills and comfort working in occupied homes.Dependable attendance, sound judgment, and willingness to work as part of a project team.Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements if driving is required for the position.Restoration or remodeling experience is preferred. Relevant trade credentials are a plus.
