Description:

In partnership with the Hitek leadership and Rival HR team, responsible for all areas of human resources including talent acquisition, benefits administration, payroll processing, and performance management in support of our high care, high trust, high performance culture. This position supports a location in Brooksville as well as a new location in Palmetto. Travel between the two location is expected.

Primary Role Expectations

  • Promote the company mission, purpose, and core values building the Ambassador Supply culture through promoting key cultural concepts.
  • Work collaboratively with local Hitek team, as well as Rival team to proactively drive culture-related activities, build strong working relationships, and enhance employee engagement.
  • Proactively engage with employees to foster trust and accountability and ensure human resources needs are met with the highest level of customer service.
  • Proactively solve problems and communicate with Hitek and Rival leadership.
  • Work with Rival HR team to develop, implement and administer company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all Federal and State employment laws and handbook policies.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate employee records.
  • Partner with Hitek company leadership on all performance management issues providing guidance on progressive disciplinary procedures and documentation.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate payroll processing. Maintain all HR and payroll-related data, proactively identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records within payroll system
  • Manage time off tracking and administration
  • Prepare accounting reports and reconciliations related to all payroll & HR functions
  • Ensure timely processing of all year-end documents including but not limited to W-2s, 1099s, 1095cs, etc.
  • Work with leadership to understand hiring and staffing needs. Responsible for creating job descriptions, scheduling and conducting interviews, conducting pre-employment checks, and new hire onboarding.
  • Responsible for the communication and administration of company benefit programs such as health, dental and life insurance, short and long term disability plans, 401(k) plan, PTO programs and leaves of absence.
  • Ensure compliance with benefit programs, accurately processing benefit elections and terminations timely
  • Maintain employee medical files
  • Conduct routine audits of benefit plans
  • Manage leave of absences ensuring compliance with relevant leave laws and proactively communicating with employees and managers regarding time away from work
  • In partnership with leadership, assist with company safety and health programs, including OSHA and Workers’ Compensation administration and compliance.
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)
  • 5+ years human resources management experience, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, or human resources is preferred
  • Strong communication skills, including organizational communication and change management
  • Knowledge of all Federal and State employment laws
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse individuals from executives to floor employees
  • Ability to maintain integrity and confidentiality when handling complex, specialized, and sensitive issues
  • Proficient with Office Productivity Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), experience working with payroll and HRIS systems
  • Valid driver's license to operate personal and company vehicle

Physical Requirements:

  • Perform the position’s physical functions with extensive mobility and ease including walking, sitting, standing, bending, talking, hearing, seeing, and using hands to operate tools necessary for the job
