As a skilled CNC Machinist/ Programmer at Custom Metal Designs will contribute to elevating the productivity of our organization. Your role involves efficiently operating various CNC machines, conducting thorough quality checks, and monitoring machine output. Utilizing pre-programmed computer software, you'll skillfully dictate the movement of factory tools and machinery.

Location: We are conveniently located in Oakland, FL, 23 minutes from Orlando.
Position Responsibilities:
- Create fixtures and holding devices as required.
- Programming G-code, MasterCAM, Solid Works, CNC Mills and Lathes with FANUC controls.
- Safely select, align, secure, and remove holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.
- Calculate and set machine controls to position spindle in relationship to part and to regulate factors such as cutting depth, speed, feed, and coolant flow.
- Stop machine to change cutting tools and setup according to required machining sequence or to measure parts for conformance to blueprint specifications.
- Perform daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment.
- Consistently produce usable products that meet the dimensional specifications of the mechanical engineered drawings and schematics.
- Understand and comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions.
- Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
- Track all parts and jobs into the SAP system.
- Uphold all ISO and OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above.
- Maintain housekeeping and general clean up duties throughout the site.
- Completes work priorities as assigned by supervisors.
- Perform other such duties as may be required.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Must possess experience machining a wide variety of materials.
- Knowledge of using hand measuring instruments.
- The ability to lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Possess a high degree of safety awareness when performing all tasks.
- Ability to work independently and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Well organized, analytical, and detail oriented.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Basic computer skills and math.
- Work well with others and work as a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with fast changing priorities.
- Display and maintain enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work.
- Must cooperate with other associates in maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or related education.
- 3+ years of experience as a CNC Machinist.
- Knowledge of Fusion 360 CAD/CAM
- Programming Mitsubishi Controls.
- MasterCAM certification.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
