Job Description
Job Summary:
The EHS Coordinator supports the company's Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs by assisting with safety inspections, employee training, incident investigations, regulatory compliance, and safety documentation. Working closely with the EHS Team Lead/Manager, this role helps maintain a safe and compliant workplace across warehouse, assembly, production, and office operations. The position combines hands-on field activities with administrative support and offers an excellent opportunity to develop a career in Environmental, Health, and Safety.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly workplace safety inspections and audits.
- Identify workplace hazards and unsafe behaviors and assist in implementing corrective actions.
- Support compliance with OSHA regulations and company EHS policies, procedures, and standards.
- Assist with Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), risk assessments, and safety observations.
- Investigate incidents, injuries, near misses, and property damage, and help identify root causes and corrective actions.
- Maintain incident reports, corrective action logs, and other EHS documentation.
- Coordinate new hire safety orientation, other safety-related training, and track required employee safety training and certifications.
- Maintain PPE inventory
- Update safety metrics, reports, dashboards, and compliance records.
- Support internal and external EHS audits, inspections, and regulatory visits.
- Perform routine inspections of emergency equipment, including fire extinguishers, eyewash stations, first aid kits, and emergency exits
- Assist with emergency preparedness activities, including fire drills and evacuation exercises.
- Support contractor and visitor safety programs.
- Promote a positive safety culture by encouraging hazard reporting, employee engagement, and safe work practices.
- Perform other EHS-related duties as assigned.
Knowledge And Skills:
- Basic knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety principles
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and safety-related software
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or related field.
- Minimum of (2) years’ experience in an EHS role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Bilingual is preferred but not required.
- Experience using EHS software or safety management systems
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification
- First Aid/CPR/AED Certification
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to:
- Walk and stand for extended periods.
- Perform routine inspection throughout facilities
- Lift and carry light to moderate material
