Position Summary:
The Child Nutrition Delivery Driver plays a key role in Operation Food Search’s mission to heal hunger by ensuring that healthy food reaches children in need. This position is responsible for delivering packed meals to our Afterschool and Summer Meals programs on a daily, year-round basis, and ensure program integrity is maintained throughout the delivery process. This Mission-Driven Delivery Driver represents Operation Food Search in the community and maintains a strong relationship with our program partners. Salary: $20.00-$23.00 an hour
Primary Duties – Delivery Driving & Route Operations (Approximately 75%)
· Operate assigned vehicle to deliver packed meals to program sites in a timely and professional manner.
· Load and unload products using pallet jacks, dollys, and other equipment as needed.
· Safely operate OFS vehicles to complete assigned routes.
· Provide to sites and collect from sites necessary documentation of delivery records and accurately complete route logs.
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of vehicles and equipment.
· Provide excellent customer service to program partners and vendors, while active as an ambassador of OFS’s mission.
· Report on vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or safety concerns promptly.
· Follow all traffic laws and OFS policies.
· Ensure all deliveries meet food safety and quality standards, including proper handling of perishable items.
· Communicate with Child Nutrition Manager regarding any route changes, delays, or inventory discrepancies.
Secondary Duties- Warehouse Support (Approximately 25%)
· Prepare and stage meals for next day delivery according to site orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
· Safely operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and dollys.
· Support inventory control by accurately counting meals during the packing and delivery process.
· Work collaboratively with warehouse and program staff to meet the program’s daily distribution goals.

Requirements:Required Education and/or Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; Class E license preferred not required.
· Minimum of 1 year of professional driving, delivery, or logistics experience.
· Knowledge of safe food handling practices is preferred.

Special Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks requiring bending, climbing, standing for extended periods, and use of cleaning equipment.
- Must have reliable transportation (mileage reimbursed for offsite errands or vehicle support).
- Occasional evening or weekend availability may be requested for emergency response or special events.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
