Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Business Office Assistant to join our team at Rocky Mountain Classical Academy. The ideal candidate will provide administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the business office, assisting with various tasks related to finance, communication, event coordinating, IT support, marketing, and office management.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in business administration or related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in an administrative or office support role, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other office software (i.e. Monday.com, Kokua, and PowerSchool).

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records and files while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with school policies.
  • Support budgeting processes and assist with financial reporting activities.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from staff.
  • Manage purchasing, receiving, and inventory requests from staff and administrators.
  • Coordinate daily substitute coverage by arranging substitute teachers, maintaining absence and coverage records, and ensuring classrooms are supported throughout the school day.
  • Perform general office duties, including data entry, filing, and maintaining office supply inventory.
  • Coordinate school events as needed, supporting planning, logistics, and communication.
  • Assist with school marketing efforts.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support smooth communication and operations.
  • Represent RMCA—its programs, policies, and philosophy—professionally within the community.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Work primarily performed in an office setting, interacting with staff, administration, and vendors
  • Occasional standing, walking, and sitting for computer work
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • Mental functions include analyzing, coordinating, communicating, and problem-solving
  • Exposure to routine office environments with typical noise levels
