This role will lead social media and influencer strategy for a high-profile consumer brand, bringing its purpose and identity to life across digital and creator channels.
You’ll oversee influencer relationships, social content planning, paid amplification, and campaign execution from strategy through optimization.
Working closely with Brand, Creative, Shopper, Legal, and Customer Support teams, you’ll ensure every activation is relevant, compliant, and impactful.
The position combines creative thinking with strong operational discipline, requiring you to turn cultural insights into engaging, social-first experiences.
You’ll use performance data and audience insights to measure results, identify opportunities, and continuously improve future activations.
This is an influential, highly collaborative role suited to a social and creator marketing leader who can manage complexity while keeping the consumer at the center.
You’ll also have opportunities to mentor others, improve workflows, and shape how social and influencer marketing contributes to broader business objectives.
- Lead social media content planning, influencer activities, and paid media amplification, developing annual and monthly plans aligned with brand priorities and marketing activations.
- Partner with Brand and Marketing teams during planning and brainstorming sessions, bringing a social and influencer perspective to campaign ideas, timing, and execution.
- Manage influencer partnerships end to end, including briefs, creator evaluation, contracts, concepts, asset reviews, activation execution, quality assurance, and optimization.
- Collaborate with agency partners on influencer programs, social activities, paid boosting, and campaign delivery.
- Develop and execute social-first content strategies designed to strengthen communities, increase engagement, and support brand objectives.
- Identify opportunities to integrate social-first ideas into broader content, media, retail media, and shopper marketing plans.
- Review and quality-assure content with Brand, Legal, Product, and Creative teams, ensuring platform best practices, cultural relevance, disclosure requirements, and brand standards are met.
- Partner with Customer Support to establish an appropriate tone and voice for community management and social responses.
- Monitor social and influencer performance, measure key KPIs, develop actionable insights, and communicate results through cross-functional discussions and leadership reporting.
- Identify cultural trends and emerging conversations within the DIY and consumer space, translating relevant insights into opportunities for future activations.
- Establish operational improvements, workflows, and guardrails that increase the effectiveness and consistency of social and influencer programs.
- Build strong relationships across functions and levels while mentoring colleagues and supporting the development of social and influencer capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 5–7+ years of experience in influencer/creator marketing or social media marketing, preferably within the consumer-brand industry or an agency environment.
- At least 5 years of experience managing content creation programs and hands-on experience executing influencer campaigns from strategy through delivery.
- Strong knowledge of major social platforms, including TikTok, Meta, YouTube, and Pinterest, along with an understanding of their evolving ecosystems and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written, verbal, storytelling, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across functions and organizational levels.
- Strong creative thinking, problem-solving, consumer empathy, analytical judgment, and research capabilities.
- Experience developing and optimizing workflows, processes, and operational frameworks for marketing programs.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and agency partners while balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- Strong mentoring skills and a genuine interest in helping colleagues develop their capabilities.
- A proactive, adaptable approach and the ability to identify opportunities, translate cultural insights into action, and continuously improve campaign performance.
- Competitive annual salary range of $77,600–$124,900 USD, with actual compensation based on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, job level, and geographic location.
